Lincang county
Lincang is a very important pu 'er tea producing region with rich tea tree resources. It is one of the regions with the most abundant biodiversity in Yunnan Province and one of the most representative regions with the largest ancient tea tree heritage.
Tea producing areas in Lincang are mainly concentrated in Cangyuan, Shuangjiang, Fengqing, Yunxian and other places, among which the world-renowned 10000 mu ancient tea tree community is located in in the Da xue shan (big snow mountain) village of Mengku. Da xue shan (big snow mountain) is a very important tea producing area.
Compared with Banna Pu-erh tea, the overall performance of Lincang Pu-erh tea is: the bitterness is not very strong, but it is relatively astringent. It is slightly "hard" in the taste, and the taste change is not very broad. The brewed leaves has a thick and broad texture, has a special flavor and full-body aroma, smells more vigorous and slightly irritating.
Tea Mountains In Yunnan
Xigui Pu 'er tea is produced in Menglu Mountain, Xigui village, Linxiang District, Lincang City, Yunnan Province. Menglu Mountain is a part of lincang Big Snow Mountain extending eastward near Lancang River, backed by Xigui Mountain, extending eastward to Lancang River.
Xigui Pu-erh tea generally tastes bitter and astringent, but it has a sweet aftertaste. When you take a sip, you will soon feel a little bitter in your mouth (especially some newly produced Pu-erh tea), but soon this bitter taste will be transformed into a lasting slightly sweet taste. Overall, the first impression of Xigui Pu-erh tea tends to be “strong or powerful”. Most pu-erh tea of bangdong ancient tree has strong and domineous tea flavor |(represented by Xiguimunlu tea), and only a few Pu-erh tea produced in other areas are not so bitter.
Arbor Pu-erh Tea Tree In Xi GUi
BingDao Pu-erh tea and Xigui Pu-erh tea have their own characteristics. BingDao Pu-erh tea feels sweet and mellow. Generally speaking, it is softer. Xigui Pu-erh tea feels slightly bitter and less sweet than the former, but many Pu-erh tea lovers like its orchid fragrance and slight sweetness. The brewed leaves are dark green and mixed with many leaf stems. Therefore, Xigui tea is a better recognized tea among all Pu-erh tea: the uniformity of the soaked leaves is not high, there are many leaf stems, and the down on the leaf surface are not obvious.
Longevity 99
Longevity 99 is a pu tea produced by Yunnan Tianli Company in 2015. The fresh leaves are harvested from the Xigui tea tree about 700 meters above sea level.Wuyang is a local veteran technician who has been engaged in the production of Pu-erhh tea for a long time and has rich experience. He once worked as a tea blender in a famous local tea factory. He commented that as a raw Pu-erh tea from Yunnan, this tea has a unique taste and special aroma. When you have a sip of the tea in your mouth at first you will feel slightly bitter, but then immediately feel a little sweet and a little strong in the taste. The tea soup presents a lovely yellow, bright and transparent color and emits a faint fragrance, reminiscent of honey and aged wood fragrance. This tea can be brewed more than 6 times. Although this tea can't compare with the local traditional well-known brands (often expensive), it also has a favorite flavor. As a novice tea, you can obviously feel the "intensity or harshness " of raw Pu-erh tea, which is different from mild green tea and black tea. It is very worth a try for those tea lovers who just know Pu-erh tea and want to taste Pu-erh tea.
