Tea Varieties
The Jin Mudan tea plant is of medium height, with an upright posture. The leaves are horizontally attached, oval-shaped, green, glossy, with a raised surface, flat body, slightly wavy edges, blunt tips, and sharp but shallow serrations, showcasing a thick and crisp leaf texture.
What sets Jin Mudan apart is its lingering aroma, sweet and smooth taste, and cool sensation in the throat after consumption. The tea soup is not only pleasantly thick and rich, but also has a long-lasting aftertaste, making it a rarity among small-leaf varieties. When processed with skillful techniques, its fragrance can blend well with the water, resulting in a mellow and sweet taste. However, the inherent woody aroma and slight bitterness of Jin Mudan can be detected at the back of the tongue, similar to cinnamon varieties. Even with perfect processing, it still retains its distinctive characteristics in the finish. Due to its unique traits, Jin Mudan has also been given a beautiful nickname, "Honey Fragrance Red Robe," even in circles unfamiliar with small-leaf varieties.Jin Mudan tea trees exhibit an early spring budding period, strong shoot growth, and vigorous vitality. They have a purple-green color with fewer trichomes, making them suitable for producing Oolong tea, black tea, and green tea. The tea quality is outstanding, with a high processing yield. When used to make Oolong tea, it exudes a rich and aromatic fragrance, offering a mellow and refreshing taste with distinct charm, reminiscent of Tie Guan Yin's characteristic aroma. For black tea and green tea production, it presents a noticeable floral fragrance with a rich and mellow taste.

Growing Environment
Fujian Black Tea has deep roots in Chinese tea culture, with a history dating back to the Ming Dynasty. The province's favorable climate, fertile soil, and skilled craftsmanship contribute to the exceptional quality of its black teas. Traditionally, these teas have been an integral part of Chinese tea ceremonies and are often enjoyed during important social occasions. Fu'an City is a prefecture level administrative unit in Fujian Province, which is also famous for planting high-quality black tea.Fu'an City, a county-level city under the administration of Ningde City, is located in the northeast of Fujian Province, in the central part of Ningde City. Situated between the Jiufeng Mountain Range, Tailao Mountain Range, and Donggong Mountain Range, the city experiences a subtropical maritime monsoon climate. It is adjacent to six districts and counties, covering a total area of 1,880 square kilometers. Surrounded by mountains and facing the sea, Fu'an enjoys a subtropical maritime monsoon climate with a long frost-free period. Its geographical latitude, temperature and humidity, annual precipitation, mountainous terrain, soil thickness, and soil characteristics are all suitable for the growth of various tea tree varieties. As early as 1371, Fu'an discovered the tea tree variety named "Tanyang Cai Tea," which led to the creation of the tea brand "Tanyang Gongfu." In 1915, "Tanyang Gongfu" won the gold prize at the Panama Pacific International Exposition, gaining international acclaim and becoming the designated tea supplier for the British royal family. In 1988, the jasmine tea from Wangjia Tea Plantation received the Golden Rooster Award at the Paris Flower Tea Evaluation Competition. In 1990, Tanyang Tea Plantation's Tanyang Gongfu black tea was listed as the top earner in foreign exchange among agricultural and reclamation system exports in Fujian Province.
